Volvo FH: versions and engines

• Volvo FH: D13 12.8-litre engine with 420, 460, 500 and 540 HP. Globetrotter or Globetrotter XL cab (the most spacious with flat floor and 2,140 mm interior height).
• Volvo FH16: D16 16.1-litre engine with 550, 650 and 750 HP. For heavy and special transport. Volvo's V8 is the most powerful engine available in a series-production European truck.
• Volvo FH Electric: 100% electric versión with up to 300 km range. Available with equivalent outputs of 490 and 653 HP.

I-Shift transmission

Volvo's I-Shift was the sector's pioneering automated transmission (introduced in 2001). It offers 12 forward gears with situation-specific modes: Economy, Performance, Off-road and slow manoeuvring. The I-Shift Dual Clutch versión eliminates torque interruptions during shifts, similar to an automotive DSG gearbox.
