The Volvo FH 460 from 2020 is a second-hand tractor unit designed to deliver maximum performance in long-distance operations, combining power, efficiency and comfort in a very well-equipped package. With 560,000 kilometres on the clock, this industrial vehicle arrives at COA Trucks from Spain, which guarantees a history of use under known conditions. The heart of this tractor unit is the Volvo D13K engine, a six-cylinder in-line unit of 12,800 cc that develops 460 hp. It complies with Euro 6 regulations thanks to a combined SCR and DPF aftertreatment system, which allows unrestricted circulation through low-emission zones in Spain and throughout the rest of Europe. The capacity of the two fuel tanks totals 978 litres, outstanding range for long-haul routes without frequent stops, complemented by a 75-litre AdBlue tank. The transmission is automatic, with a ZF 12-speed gearbox, which facilitates driving on any type of road and reduces driver fatigue during extended shifts. The axle configuration is 4x2, with an axle distance of 380 cm and mixed suspension. The auxiliary braking features engine brake and retarder, which provides safe speed control on prolonged descents and reduces wear on the service brakes. The tyres on the front axle are size 315/80R22.5. The Globetrotter long-distance medium cab, with left-hand drive, is equipped with two berths to ensure the crew can rest whilst on route. The interior has air conditioning, stationary air conditioning and autonomous heating, which allows optimal temperature to be maintained without needing to start the engine. The interior equipment is completed by heated seats, sat-nav, refrigerator, sunroof and LED lights, creating a workspace designed for the professional long-distance driver. In terms of active safety, the Volvo FH 460 incorporates ABS/EBS, ESP, adaptive cruise control, Lane Assist and collision alert, a set of ADAS systems that help reduce road risk. On the exterior, the roof spoiler, side spoilers and visor stand out, elements that improve the aerodynamics of the unit and contribute to fuel efficiency.
