The Renault T 480 from 2021 is a second-hand tractor unit designed to deliver outstanding performance in long-distance operations, combining power, efficiency and high-level equipment. With 394,000 km recorded and 5,000 engine hours, this industrial vehicle arrives at COA Trucks in condition to continue working on the most demanding routes across the continent. Under the bonnet sits the Volvo DTI 13 engine, a six-cylinder block with 12,800 cc displacement that develops 480 PS of power. It complies with Euro 6 regulations thanks to a combined SCR and DPF aftertreatment system, which allows unrestricted circulation through low-emission zones in Spain and the rest of Europe. A guarantee of full mobility for fleets operating in regulated environments. The transmission is the Renault Optidriver 12-speed automated gearbox, which facilitates driving on long journeys and reduces driver fatigue. The axle configuration is 4x2, with a maximum authorised mass of 18,000 kg, a kerb weight of 8,041 kg and a payload of 10,000 kg. The auxiliary braking combines engine brake, retarder and Optibrake, a combination that provides outstanding deceleration capacity on prolonged descents and improves the active safety of the unit. ABS/EBS and ESP systems complete the dynamic safety features of this tractor unit. The cab is a medium long-distance type with two beds, oriented towards the driver who spends several consecutive days on the road. It features air conditioning, stationary air conditioning and autonomous heating, which guarantees thermal comfort regardless of engine operation. Interior equipment includes sat-nav, refrigerator, LED lights and cruise control. For greater comfort and safety whilst driving, it also incorporates adaptive cruise control, Lane Assist and collision alert, technologies that reduce driver cognitive load on motorways. On the exterior, the Renault T 480 features a roof spoiler, side spoilers, side skirts and visor, elements that optimise the aerodynamics of the unit and help reduce fuel consumption. The two tanks total a capacity of 1,250 litres, to which is added an AdBlue tank of 75 litres, providing this tractor unit with very high autonomy for international routes.
